Back Bay surpasses Seaport in cost per square foot

Torii’s Monthly Market report for July 2019 shows that Back Bay (zip code 02199 in Boston) surpassed Seaport in property cost per square foot. May and June 2019 both showed the Seaport neighborhood as Greater Boston’s most expensive $/square foot sale price. March and April 2019 showed Brookline as Greater Boston’s most expensive neighborhood.

To be fair, one property sold at $3,995,000 skewed Back Bay to pass Seaport for the top spot.

Cheapest neighborhood based on cost per square foot: Lynn

City with the most number of home sales for July 2019: Salem, with 114 sales

City with the lowest median days on market: Boston’s 02109 zip code, which includes the Financial District and North End

Town with the highest median days on market: Nahant, at 79 days
